Stay home. Keep Playing...Online!

We can’t wait to get back to making music and dancing on campus. In the meantime, many of our classes and lessons are currently running online. Thank you to our members, friends, students, and the supportive arts community in Chicago for persevering with us during this time.

New Classes Begin June 29

Standing in Solidarity Against Racism

We at the Old Town School of Folk Music share in the outrage over the senseless murders of Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, George Floyd, and too many others. We stand in solidarity with the protestors, activists, and advocates who are working to end this enduring pattern of systemic racism and abuse of power.

Online Classes at Old Town School

Even in these uncertain times, we can still gather together virtually and learn some new things! Online group classes are forming now for our next 7-week class session - beginning the week of June 29 - for adults, kids and teens.

COVID-19 Community Update

While many organizations are opening for Phase 3, following guidance from local and state officials, Old Town School of Folk Music campuses are closed to the public and all jams, community events, and public gatherings are canceled until further notice. Classes for the next session, beginning the week of June 29th, will be held online. Our Music Store is open for online shopping and curbside pickups.

Classes and workshops are online and available for adults and kids, no matter where you are in the world. Old Town School online classes include 4-week classes and drop-in workshops to keep you busy.

We have answers available about your classes, rescheduled or cancelled concert tickets, ways to help the organization and more on our COVID-19 Crisis alert page.
