Come and learn Samulnori, Korean drumming with an instructor from the Korean Performing Arts Institute! Samulnori literally means "the play of four instruments." In this workshop, you'll learn how to play four Korean traditional percussion instruments, which are the kkwaenggwari (small gong), janggu (hourglass drum), buk (barrel drum), and jing (large gong). You'll learn how these drums are connected to nature, how to play the drums, how to speak the Korean drum language (called ipjangdan), and how to play a few traditional rhythms!
