For students interested in learning the banjo, but uncertain yet which style they would like to delve into, Banjo 1 is a great class. Whether moving on from Introduction to the Banjo or joining the school for the first time, this class is designed for students with a basic understanding of chords, tuning, and basic picking hand techniques. We will explore clawhammer and three-finger techniques in addition to the rich tradition of American banjo playing that doesn’t fall directly within the clawhammer or bluegrass styles.
