Thumbs Up workshop offers advancement of technique for intermediate clawhammer banjo players seeking to get their thumbs moving. By learning fiddle tunes and exercises students will learn and refine their drop-thumb and double-thumb technique.
Al Scorch is a Chicago songwriter, banjo player, and prodigal son of the Old Town School of Folk Music. He is signed to Chicago's Bloodshot records, tours nationally and internationally, and has performed in support of folk singers and songwriters like Steve Earle, Peter Rowan, and banjo master Danny Barnes.
