Join Claudia Hommel and Elizabeth Doyle for this special workshop exploring cabaret singing as a preview to Cabaret Connexion, a week-long cultural and musical exchange between French and American cabaret singers. For the first hour, participants will explore how to take ownership of a song and make it their own through introductions and setting the scene. For the second hour, participants will work on diction, letting go of R’s and working on singing vowels and consonants. Participants should come with the score or lead sheet of a song that they have chosen and know well in their key. A select number of participants will be able work one-on-one with Claudia and Elizabeth.
