Earl Scruggs was the father of Bluegrass Banjo and some of the best examples of his arrangements and original compositions can be found on the album “Foggy Mountain Banjo”. Using examples from this recording you will learn several tunes in G (some with a capo), Drop C, and open D. Some extra tunes not found on the recording may be added. Advanced techniques in back-up and improvisation will also be covered. Gain greater knowledge of the neck, play songs in high and low positions, and vamp on inversions.
