Immerse yourself in the era of jazz, flappers, and speakeasies as we bring the spirit of the 1920s to life. Whether you're a seasoned dancer or just looking for a fun night out, this event is perfect for all ages and skill levels.
Start the evening with a quick lesson in classic 1920s dance steps like the Charleston, led by one of our dance instructors. Once you've got the basics down, the dance floor is yours! Enjoy two hours of free dancing to lively jazz and swing tunes, all handpicked from the personal record collection of one of our amazing teachers, Chris Walz.
Chris has been a cornerstone of the Old Town School of Folk Music since 1996, celebrating over 20 years of teaching. A master of Bluegrass, Blues Slide, and Fingerstyle guitar, Chris’s passion for music extends beyond playing—he’s also a dedicated collector of incredible records. For this event, Chris will share his love of music by spinning tracks from his personal collection, creating the perfect soundtrack for a night of dancing and fun.
Dress to impress in your best 1920s-inspired attire—think flapper dresses, feathered headbands, pinstripe suits, and fedoras—and join us for a night of fun, elegance, and community. Bring your friends, your energy, and your best moves, and let’s party like it’s the Jazz Age!
