Dazzled by the feathers & rhinestones but still not sure what burlesque is all about? This is your chance to learn the ins & outs of this alluring art form! Gain a better understanding of the roots and evolution of burlesque in a brief crash course before you activate your inner stage siren in a group warm-up. Then we'll learn some staple tease techniques and a short routine to help you tap into your sensual power with confidence. Each class focuses on a new skill, resulting in a different experience each time! Wear comfortable clothes/shoes to move in. All bodies and identities welcome, adults only.

Sunny Haelstorm is a performing and teaching artist who expresses their voice through dance, burlesque and drag. Their expansive dance background stretches across two decades and they were a former company member of the Joel Hall Dancers. Mx. Haelstorm began their burlesque career in 2017 and has since performed in numerous productions and venues of note throughout Chicago and across the Midwest. Sunny's classes are designed to help people of all identities connect with themselves and others through creative play and authentic self-expression. They delight in sharing their knowledge and quirky sense of humor with others, ensuring everyone involved has a fun and fulfilling experience!
