Advance your slide guitar and fingerstyle technique by learning songs, licks and styles of traditional and contemporary Blues, Roots and Americana artists. Attention will be given to building skills in improvisation, soloing and more advanced techniques such as alternating thumb / Piedmont Picking. Students will also learn how to add color while accompanying another instrumentalist.
This class is for acoustic or electric guitar players at the Guitar 2 Class Level or above with some slide guitar experience. Students will play songs in open G and open D tunings.
