This workshop gives you a taste of what you’ll explore in the 8-week class, Rock & Blues Guitar, offered Mondays at 8pm. You’ll get an intro to rock and blues songs and playing styles in a fun and supportive setting.
We’ll play two songs by male and female artists. We’ll learn a classic rhythm guitar groove for blues. We’ll also learn two rock and blues riffs, and look at how chords and song structure help musical storytelling in the blues.
And as we work on the riffs, we’ll demystify some guitar jargon like bends, slides, hammer-ons and pull-offs. This will be fun!
Prerequisites: Guitar 1-2, or commensurate experience, comfort with playing chords; A, C, D, E, G, Am, and Em.
