This class will cover how to play in an old-time string band using chords and right hand picking patterns as used by Charlie Poole and Uncle Dave Macon. We will also work on a couple of easy banjo solo peices.
Clarke plays banjo with the Ozark Highballers and headed the Skirtlifters old-time string band for thirty years. He took first place in the Charlie Poole finger style banjo contest in 2014, and teaches banjo, fiddle, mandolin and guitar in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
