You only need to hear a few bars to identify a Burt Bacharach song — his melodies, chord changes and irregular measures stood out and made him a great inspiration for Paul McCartney, Brian Wilson and other songwriters.
In this workshop, we’ll play some of the classics that Bacharach co-wrote with lyricist Hal David, on guitar.
These songs are not for beginner guitarists: you need to be comfortable playing basic open chords as well as Dm, the 4-string F, and preferably also a barre chord or two. We’ll explore each song in a capo and non-capo version.
