In this 2 hour workshop, we will look at ways of getting around the fretboard in Open D tuning without a slide - chords, and riffs, as well as learning a couple of classic folk-blues tunes. Guitar tablature will be provided. Ability to already do alternate thumb picking will be a plus, but isn't necessary. 2019 International Blues Challenge solo/duo winner Jon Shain has written and interpreted many classic blues in open tunings, some for slide and some not.
