During this workshop, fiddlers Amy Alvey and George Jackson will demonstrate and discuss ways to play and arrange twin fiddles in old time and bluegrass music. From subtle, improvised variations in old time music to prearranged bluegrass twin fiddling parts, Amy and George will lay out the tools you’ll need to compliment other fiddlers in a jam or to create the classic twin fiddle sound with a friend. You will learn a simple tune to try out some of these techniques in the class. Most importantly, you’ll be set up with the knowledge to go forth into the exciting world of second fiddle.
