Trills, bowed triplets, slides, even the use of double stops are techniques that help to give old time music its strong character. Many of the great old fiddlers used ornamentation like personal signatures, and we’ll look at some of the great ones.
In a series of six online workshops, renowned fiddler and educator Bruce Molsky will look at some of the finer points of fiddle technique. The goal of these individual workshops and this series as a whole is to demystify these techniques and principles to make their study accessible to fiddlers of various experience levels.
