What Up Pitches co-founder, Celia Rose, presents an introductory workshop on music synchronization. Topics to be covered will include: what lyrical themes and production styles work best for sync and how to research the music used in shows or ads to figure out where your music would be a good fit. We will provide insights on how to submit your music to licensing agents and music supervisors so they’ll want to add your music to their catalogs. We will clarify what metadata is and why is it important, as well as, discussing split sheets and work for hire contracts. Participants will walk away with a wealth of information on writing and submitting music for sync opportunities! Several participants will be picked to have a song of theirs reviewed by the What Up Pitches team.
