Creative Movement (formerly Mini Dancers): ages 3 - 4

Kids Group Class / Dance Program

In Creative Movement students will learn developmentally appropriate movement skills that will prepare them for their continued dance education. Students will coordinate their bodies with music by practicing basic dance steps, and locomotor and non-locomotor movements. Students will also play movement games that engage their active imaginations and active bodies, exploring how to express ideas through movement. Students will learn dance classroom etiquette, performance values, and social/emotional skills. These skills will include personal space, turn taking, focus and listening skills. And of course, they will have a lot of fun!

Please note: Creative Movement is a drop-off class. Students participate independently, without parents or caregivers in the classroom. A parent or guardian must remain in the building for the entire class and be available at dismissal. If this will be your child's first drop-off experience, please let the instructor know before the first class so we can help make the transition a comfortable one.
