Join us for a new series of songwriting classes led by local singer/songwriter Jenny Bienemann. Each 8-week session or module, Jenny offers a variety of approaches to different aspects of the art of songwriting. Using a multi-disciplinary method, participants explore the terrain of creativity both musically and lyrically and engage in the process of ripening one's songs. The series is set up so that one can enter it any session. Students will participate in weekly guided writing exercises and song assignments. We will share the creations that emerge. Open to anyone who’s ever written a song or even started one.
In the collaboration module, we will investigate the differences between writing as a solo artist, writing in collaboration with other artists, and how consciously curating your songwriting environment can transform your songs and songwriting process.
