Join internationally acclaimed singer Ayşenur Kolivar and her talented musicians, Onur Şenturk and Alpay Sürücü, for a workshop of folk songs and instruments from the Black Sea region of Turkey. The enchanting and lively folk music of the Black Sea is a unique style rich in various traditions from the region.The presentation will feature technical demonstrations on instruments such as the kemenche (a bowed string instrument similar to the violin), tulum (Turkish bagpipes), panduri (3-string plucked instrument), accordion, and the dynamic vocal style of Ayşenur. The workshop is open to all instruments. Vocalists, bowed string, mandolin, accordion and woodwind players may find the workshop especially interesting.
