In our most advanced level of group fiddle, fiddlers focus on deepening musicianship and musical literacy as they master a collection of tunes.
In this summer session class, players will learn new bowing techniques, ornamentations, and double stops for fiddle tunes already in their repertoire. This work will give students the ability to play their tunes with style, confidence, and more options for personal choices and creative expression.
This class may be repeated several times. We will rotate tunes from session to session to ensure students stay motivated and challenged.
Parents will often be encouraged to join the end of class for the last 5-10 minutes to stay current. Parent participation is crucial to the musical development of your child. Your knowledge will help you better understand how to help your child at home.
