In this course we will look at the knowledge and skills that guitarists need to play this complex style of South American music. It is expected that the students will already have a solid understanding of the different basic rhythms and chord vocabulary.

- Samba and Samba-Cançao rhythm patterns and variations
- Adaptation to Bossa Nova
- 4 voices Harmony with Extensions and Alterations
- Stylistic Chord Progressions
- A stylistic analysis of the most widly recognized and respected masters of Bossa Nova, including Joao Gilberto, Baden Powell, Joao Bosco, etc
