Folky art-rocker Beck released his 2012 record Song Reader as a collection of beautifully prepared sheet music that both evokes the golden age of early 20th century parlor music and acknowledges that we are currently living in a renaissance of community music-making for the at-home musician. While Beck has not recorded any of the songs, thousands of musicians have been recording their interpretations and posting the songs on YouTube and SoundCloud. Now Old Town School students can lend their voices. Part ensemble, and part arrangement class.
