Join in the band! Experience many layers learning as we grow into capable players in an ensemble setting. Kids’ Ensemble is great for kids who are looking to expand their playing experience. As a part of the ensemble, students pursue their primary instrument while learning to play in a group. Ensemble playing gives students a greater sense of their instruments’ role and allows them to express individuality in a group. Additionally, there are opportunities to explore new instruments like drums, bass, and voice, as children gain a deep understanding of rhythm, melody, and musicality. Ensembles are the perfect complement to private or group lessons and a great place to ignite a new excitement for making music!
Each ensemble allows for one experienced drummer. Please contact the program manager lderosia@oldtownschool.org with questions about skill level for the ensemble.
