This fun, introductory class introduces kids to musical concepts, rhythms, easy chords (Em, G, C, D), and simple melodies on guitar (on the high E and B strings). Kids learn to play a repertoire of folk, rock, and pop tunes. Learning in a group encourages students to listen and build a community for collaboration and performance. Students should remain in Beginning Strummers for at least two sessions. Students should bring a guitar to class.
