  • Singer, instrumentalist, and composer, Yassir Chediak has a well- established career in Brazil. He is considered one of Brazil's top Brazilian Viola players. The Brazilian Viola, for the unfamiliar, is a direct descendant of the baroque guitar and is widely used in popular music festivals in Brazil.

As competent playing Johann Sebastian Bach as he is performing the simple folk songs of his country, Yassir likes merging different musical eras into a single song.

Yassir fell in love with the African-Brazilian and indigenous musical traditions that his country celebrates in its folklore and created his own musical language by fusing the sounds of the many races that colonized Brazil.

In his show, Chediak recreates and merges various styles and rhythms of Brazilian music, including his own compositions, straying far from the traditional sounds of Samba or Bossa nova.
