Let's PLAY music!

Enrollment is open for our 8-week session beginning the week of April 29th. If space allows, you can join current Wiggleworms classes at any time!

Silly, musical, playful, and wonderful, Wiggleworms is a hands-on exploration of music. Engaged and curious, children sing, dance, learn finger plays, tell story songs, and explore rhythm instruments for little hands! Trained educators and thriving musicians, Wiggleworms teachers may lead class on acoustic guitar, `ukulele, autoharp, banjo, and gathering drums. Grownups and kids discover American and world folk songs and delight in rock, pop, and fun original children's music.

Born in 1985, Old Town School of Folk Music's celebrated early childhood music program welcomes young children and their families to a musical world! Each week, in music-rich environments at our schools in Lincoln Park and Lincoln Square, at our branches in Hyde Park, Instituto Cervantes, Evanston, Glencoe, and Western Springs, and in our outreach partnership in Lawndale, more than 2000 infants, toddlers, and preschoolers along with parents, grandparents, and special caregivers join in the fun of PLAYING music!

Early childhood is the perfect time for exposing children to such signficant experiences with the language of music. Classes are 45 minutes long and limited to 10-12 children with parent-caregiver. Classes are designed for developmental age groups that expand as children grow. Throughout Wiggleworms, young children and their families enjoy musical time together as they develop a lifelong love for making music! Let's play!
