Maggie Neatherlin picked up the fiddle when she was four years old, and never looked back. For Maggie, music has always been a way to connect with others, whether by playing for dances or jamming with friends. Her primary specialties are Appalachian Old-Time and Celtic fiddling styles, which focuses on playing by ear, leaning into rhythm, and improvisation. What Maggie loves most about folk music is the ability to make it your own. Folk music is a unique way to create community and connect with history in an accessible and exciting way, and Maggie hopes that any students she gets to teach walks away feeling confident and inspired.
Maggie also teaches guitar and vocal lessons, in traditional Appalachian and Celtic styles.
