Caro (she/they) is a musician and education worker from Evanston, IL. A lifelong singer-songwriter, she records and performs original indie folk music and sings with the Songs for Liberation protest music collective. As a teacher, they provide early childhood music education for babies, toddlers, and their grown-ups, and teach students of all ages how to write their own original songs. A graduate of the Theatre Arts department at Lawrence University, Caro has previously worked with the Girls Rock! Chicago, The Lullaby Project, Bach to Rock, and the Youth Empowerment Performance Project. Caro is passionate about play, improvisation, and creating respectful, joyful spaces for children and families to live and learn. When she’s not teaching, you can find her behind the front desk at The People’s Music School or walking around Uptown, headphones on. @granner.music
