Teachers at the Old Town School

Aerin Tedesco

Songwriting, Harmony Singing

aerin tedesco is one half of the band Congress of Starlings. She has been playing the rare but awesome four-stringed instrument called the tenor guitar for 20+ years and has been writing songs for just as long. She is an accomplished harmony singer (as her work on Congress of Starlings’ album Albedo and several solo albums will attest). Many years ago she stumbled upon the Old Town School and her world hasn’t been the same since. Diving into the Old Town experience, she added drums, baritone ukulele, and harmonica to her repertoire. She thoroughly enjoys teaching the Women’s Acoustic Ensemble and has taught various harmony workshops as well as specialty classes, including the Bangles Ensemble, Indigo Girls Ensemble, and Regina Spektor Songbook. aerin is excited to have the opportunity to teach and learn at the Old Town School, to share her skills, and to continue to be a part of the incredible Old Town community.

Education: BA Literature Bard college, Minor in Music

Started at the Old Town School in June of 2000
