Freddie Dixon Blues Band, an electrifying blend of Chicago Blues and the soulful sounds of classically trained violinist Judy Lei, bring a fresh, captivating twist to the blues.
Led by the legendary bassist and vocalist, Freddie Dixon, the Freddie Dixon Blues Band embodies the spirit and soul of the Chicago Blues tradition. As the second son of the renowned Willie Dixon, Freddie has been steeped in the blues since birth. His father's legacy as a songwriter, producer, and musician at Chess Records during the golden era of blues deeply influenced Freddie's musical journey.
Freddie's blues career began in the south-side clubs, where he honed his skills alongside talented musicians. He later joined his father's band, The Chicago Blues All-Stars, and embarked on a global journey, spreading the gospel of the blues to audiences worldwide. Since the passing of his father in the early 1990s, Freddie has carried the torch as a blues ambassador, captivating crowds across Europe, Australia, and his hometown of Chicago.
