Arpa Café is a musical folkloric group from Colombia, formed by Chicago musicians with a long artistic trajectory and experience in different musical genres. In this particular concert the band will take the audience on a musical journey through four subregions of Colombia representing the region's main rhythms and dances. The regions that will be represented include music from the mountains, the plains, the Caribbean coast, and the Pacific coast. The founder and director of Arpa Café (Daniel Rojas) uses the llanera harp's musical dialogue with vocals, string instruments, and the traditional percussion of each region, in order to expose the richness and diversity of music from Colombia.
