A weekly showcase of world music and dance featuring the best local and touring talent! Most shows are Wednesday nights at 8:00 PM.

Sistazz of the Nitty Gritty (named by artist/musician Lonnie Holley) are clarinetist/vocalist Angel Bat Dawid, pianist/vocalist Anaiet, and bassist Brooklynn Skye Scott. Emerging from the Great Black music traditions of Chicago and active Chicago Black Artist Union Members, this ensemble comes together with a myriad of musical backgrounds, textures, and sounds relying heavily on spontaneous compositions and improvisation. Sistazz of Tha Nitty Gritty have performed for Elastic Arts 3rd Annual Benefit Concert, Kauffman Center of the Performing Arts annual Ecstatic Music Festival, New Music Circle Festival, Interference Fest: Women Making Noise 2020 in Austin Tx, Fulcrum Point 22nd Annual Concert for Peace, Jazz Institute of Chicago Jazz in the City Series, as well as performing for University of Chicago's Arts & Public Life First Monday's Jazz Series.

Erthe St. James


A native from the Westside of Chicago. This 31-year-old Soul singer has obtained the ability to intertwine genres to create his own unique blend of Soul, Jazz, & Funk.

Playing Chicago venues, with his band, The £rtheTones, such as City Winery, Untitled Supper Club, Lazy Bird, House of Blues, Navy Pier, The California Clipper, The Bassment, Bordel, Schubas, The Promontory, and opening for artists such as Erykah Badu, Estelle, Tye Tribbet, & Nikki Giovani.

£rthe has been featured on the several albums including R.O.E's "Tovi Khali's, "French Quarter Style" [2017], Neak's “KWESBAAR” [2019], R.O.E's “Radiant” [2020], Flowers For The Living's “Bouquet of Beautiful” [2021] and on the 2017 film, "Got The Love: A Soul Music Documentary.”

He can also be seen on supporting vocals as a member of Sam Trump & The Soul Vortex and also a part of Harold Green's Flowers For The Living [FFTL] Collective.

Erthe is currently working on his debut album.
