Someone Old Someone New

Someone Old Someone New is a new project that features the songs of father and daughter, Miki Greenberg and Giselle Greenberg.

Miki has been active on Chicago's underground music scene since 1987 starting with all the recorded work of Maestro Subgum and The Whole and extending to the present with numerous recordings and projects that have spanned everything from solo piano to art punk to love songs.

Giselle is a 15-year-old songwriter, singer, dancer, actor, and playwright. She has written and directed two musicals as well as a large group of songs and is one of the founding members of PinkElephant Performing Troupe.

The new record, Last Gasps First Breaths, has one side from each songwriter.
Featuring a wonderful band of great Chicago musicians (Bob Garrett, Greg Nergaard, Christopher Elam, Mars Williams, Lily Floeter, and Jason McInnes) and harmonies from longtime collaborator Elizabeth Breen.

The concert will be a one night only live celebration and interpretation of the music on the record, plus extra surprises with collaborators old and new.

Congress of Starlings

Congress of Starlings is a long-time favorite on the Chicago indie music scene. Aerin Tedesco and Andrea Bunch have been called ‘two of the most beautiful noises on the planet.' Whether as an acoustic duo or a full band, Congress of Starlings joyfully delivers a unique, startling blend of unearthly harmonies, rich melodies, and unusual meters. Lyrically, their concerns reach from the depths of the heart, across the damaged American landscape, and through the mists of other worlds. Their voices are unmatched in their ability to move and enrapture audiences. Their songs are raw and powerful.
