Traditional Irish Singing (Sean-nós) is experiencing a revival in Chicago, largely due to the efforts of a group of local singers, teachers and musicians who cherish the beauty of this traditional art form and wish to preserve it.

You will learn from multiple Midwest Fleadh Singing Champion and All-Ireland Finalist Dr. Christine Lawless, who will build upon whatever prior singing experience you have, and will teach Traditional Irish Sean-nós singing; ornamentation, phrasing, and vocal styling; Irish folk singing traditions and history; how to integrate your prior singing experience into this genre; and performance practice and storytelling through song. 

Christine will share training methods used with award-winning singers.
