Grab a washboard and glide, slide, tap and slap rhythms from Old Time to Bluegrass to Swing and beyond. We will ease our way through simple patterns coordinating the right hand shuffle pattern with the left hand glide, progress to combinations of hits and shuffles, then experiment with fun combinations of triplets on top of four-count rhythms. You can do no wrong in this workshop, make it as easy or as complex as you choose. Bring a washboard and either two or more thimbles or two bottle openers or spoons to create facile and fascinating combinations to fit in with your choice of band styles.
