Come sit with one of the Grand Masters of the West African Djembe drum, Bolokada Conde! These two workshops are a rare opportunity to learn and play with a master musician who is only in Chicago for a short window of time. Each workshop is a stand alone experience, but to get the most out of his time in Chicago Bolo encourages you to take both. Each class will cover different material and all will challenged at their level!

The workshops are open to all and will provide anyone with incredible insight and experience. If it’s your first time touching djembe, COME! If you’re a pro djembe player, COME!! If you’re in-between, COME!!! There will be something for all levels in Bolo’s class!

Bolokada Conde is a master among masters and one of the richest treasures of Malinke music and folklore on earth. As one of Guinea’s most premier and prolific Malinke Djembefolas, Conde has taught the spellbinding Malinke music and folklore across the world. Born and raised in the villages of Morowaya, Guinea, Conde has performed for thousands of people and at the highest level. A spellbinding Grandmaster Djembefola, Conde takes pride in sharing the Malinke rhythms, songs, and culture with sheer passion, patience, and remarkable zeal.
