Ever wonder how a song goes from a voice memo to something you can’t stop humming or makes you ugly cry in your car? Whether you're a songwriter (at any level of experience) or just someone who’d like to peer behind the songwriting curtain, this workshop is for you. We’ll talk brainstorming lyrics, building compelling melodies, inspiration and editing, creative blocks and remedies, happy accidents—you name it. I’ll break down how some of my songs came to life, and you’ll get a chance to play around with engaging your own creativity in a warm and low-stress environment. It’s part class, part song-sharing session, part storytelling Q&A. Come as you are. No experience needed, just curiosity and a love for songs. Please bring a notebook and a writing utensil for some low pressure writing exercises.
