Soul, R&B, gospel and funk. In this acoustic guitar class, we'll explore the chords that pulled at the heartstrings of the greatest soul singers, get our groove on in our strumming, and raise the energy with tasty riffs.

If you're comfortable with basic barre chords, you'll expand your palette with colorful extension chords that you can move up and down the neck, funky and soulful strumming rhythms, and cool riffs that weave between major and minor pentatonic moods.

You get to do this while learning classic songs by The Staple Singers, Bill Withers, Al Green, Stevie Wonder, Prince, Otis Redding, Aretha Franklin, Curtis Mayfield/The Impressions, Sly Stone, and Nina Simone.

The workshop gives you a taste of the full class (starting in Session 5).
