Join acclaimed songwriter Gary Louris (The Jayhawks) for a deep dive into the method and madness of writing songs. We will explore the two-headed beast that is songwriting: Inspiration and Craftsmanship. We will discuss the thrill and personal fulfillment in creating something from nothing. Along the way Gary will recall the roots, process, and personal anecdotes relating to his past material, while exploring the subtopics of where to begin, how to proceed, and when to stop. He will discuss his own battles with procrastination, what works for him, and how it may help you in making music that feeds the soul.
