Learn to play the blues...on the mandolin? Absolutely! We’ll learn everything you need to know to become a blues mandolinist including blues scales, rhythms, chords, improvising and more. This class is a deep dive into the style and concepts of blues mandolin. Next thing you know you’ll be plugging in at the local blues jam, joining a jug band or just adding funky blues licks to your favorite bluegrass standards! Learning by ear will be encouraged but some written material will be provided, including standard notation and TAB.
