Songs of Peace, Harmony and Freedom in Honor of Dr. King.

The Old Town School celebrates the life of Dr. Martin Luther King on Monday January 21st.
Join teachers, staff and friend as we offer up songs of peace and unity at several FREE events during the day. At noon on Monday at our east building 4545 N. Lincoln, we’ll host a family friendly singalong with music from our songbook and more. Later that evening at both our Lincoln Park & Lincoln Square locations, our time honored tradition, the Second Half at 9:30pmwill focus on songs from the heyday of the ‘60s civil rights movement including music of Marvin Gaye, Sly Stone and others. Whether you attend one of these events or not we urge you to spend time during the day reflecting on Dr. King and his contribution to our country and the world.
