For young children, storytelling and imaginative play is their true work, their way of constructing an understanding of the world. Theater & Imagination nurtures a child’s creative expression, confidence, and voice in the big world. Through story-songs, classic theater games, and cooperative movement activities, young folks discover the magic of theater. Our littlest players work on turn-taking, rules of the games, and sharing ideas in our creative ensemble. Preschoolers, come celebrate your brave voice and own imaginings!
Teaching Artist Alisa Rosenthal is a working musical comedian and trained clown and mime! She grew up at Piven Theater Workshop, and has performed at the Chicago Women's Funny Festival, Zanies Comedy Club, the Twin Cities Jewish Humor Festival, the upcoming Minnesota Fringe Festival, and was a semi-finalist for the Andy Kaufman Award in New York. Alisa's classroom is filled with positive energy and a warm, embracing sense of humor!
