Join Marieth Quintero and members of her ensemble (see World Music Wednesday 11/28/12) for a workshop in Colombian dance and percussion. Participants will learn some of the most representative traditional rhythms from Colombia; cumbia, bambuco, currulao, rajeleña and more through dance and percussion. Students can come prepared to dance or can bring percussion instruments such as hand drums, tambor, alegre and maracas.
