This class will focus of percussive aspects of the banjo as played in blues, Reggae, African & Caribbean music--and how it can be infused into interpretations of tunes that players already know. An example would be giving an African groove to the melody of Old Joe Clark, slower, funkier. That is just a window into a world of music that waits. The clawhammer technique is as ancient as string instruments on earth.
