Learn common chords and strums and start playing songs on the first day of class. Repertoires will cover a variety of styles and genres ranging from traditional Hawaiian songs to Tin Pan Alley to folk, rock, pop, and other favorites. Focus will be on strumming styles and common chords and keys. Learn the fundamentals of tuning the 'uke and play in a fun, sing-a-long environment.

Prerequisites

This class is recommended for students who are self-taught, or for students with prior experience on another instrument, especially strummed instruments (e.g. guitar, banjo, mandolin). If you are new to music classes or learning an instrument, consider starting with Introduction to `Ukulele.

Special Info

All students must attend the first class.
Please note this is an adult class for students ages 18 and up.
Our private lessons program is a great place for kids and teens to learn `ukulele!
