All agree that Chicago West Side Blues starts with Otis Rush and “Magic" Sam. This class will cover the seminal recordings of these two giants plus a few others such as Buddy Guy. As well as soloing, we’ll be evaluating intros/endings, chords, strumming patterns, grooves, baselines, horn parts, hooks, etc. In short, we’ll cover and rehearse all the important elements of each song before we have a jam session.
