Join Jeiche Ould Chighay, guitarist for visiting artist Noura Mint Seymali, for a guitar workshop on the music of Mauritania, Africa. Learn scales and techniques for this modal style of music from northwestern Africa. Jeiche will also discuss how standard guitars are refretted to perform this style of music. The workshop is open to all instruments. Guitarists, mandolin, and other string players will find it especially interesting.
