American jangle-pop's godfathers - the Byrds - created some of the sweetest sounds of the 1960s. With consummate songcraft by the likes of Old Town School alum Roger McGuinn and David Crosby, the Byrds brought American folk-pop to soaring heights, and their brilliant interpretive skills made Dylan accessible to the masses. Their influence is still all over the radio today.
