For the past 20 years Beck Hansen has kept us guessing at what he might sound like next: lovable Loser, junkyard troubadour, anti-folk raconteur, experimental noise rocker, digital-age bluesman, hip-hop cowboy? The list goes on. We’ll use Beck’s rich and varied catalog as a vehicle to explore the inner workings of the modern pop ensemble.
Guitarists learn techniques for locking in with a rhythm section. Intermediate level guitarists explore lead playing (riffs & solos). Vocalists learn how to build basic harmony parts and are encouraged to lead the band through an arrangement. All musicians learn about dynamics, listening skills, arrangement ideas, and musical expression.
