Playing a wildly eclectic repertoire—from tangos to TV themes and Tin Pan Alley, twisted versions of “the classics” and popular oddities from all eras, the Orchestra is open to all instruments and players interested in fun and ensemble musicianship (in that order). We’ll play from written arrangements printed in both TAB and standard notation, beginning with rather simple material and graduating to more ridiculous arrangements. This is a class for intermediate to advanced level players who’d like to try sectional playing and improve their sight reading skills. If your tastes run to schmaltzy waltzes and novelty numbers, this is the class for you!
